Sisi Burn

Sisi Burn has been working freelance photographing classical and jazz musicians, composers and performers, since completing the Documentary Photography course at Newport, Gwent in 1994.

Her clients have included The BBC National Orchestra of Wales, The ENO Contemporary Opera Studio, The Royal College of Music, The Royal Academy of Music, The London Philharmonic, The Goethe Institute, The BBC Proms and The Royal Albert Hall.

Her individual commissions include luminaries such as Evgeny Kissin, Joshua Bell, Sir Simon Rattle, Wynton Marsalis, Talvin Singh, Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, Maxim Vengerov and Mitsuko Uchida.

Sisi has worked on 2 major photo essays: “A Symphony of Symptoms” exploring performance related illnesses amongst orchestral players, and “Health & Musician” organised by the Musicians Union and BAPAM (British Association of Performing Arts Medicine). Her work is regularly published in the broadsheets and news and specialist magazines as well as being the subject of several exhibitions.

She uses Leica and Olympus technology (film and digital) and offers her specialist skills in music photography worldwide.
